Linde Roza (2000) explores the tension between holding on and letting go, how we attempt to grasp the moments of life, and how those moments continue to shift. What does the world look like when one is in love, angry, or overwhelmed? The order shifts. She moves between formalism and poetry: a choreography of presence and absence.
Her artistic research begins in the archive; fragments of everyday life, found objects, apology messages, documented routes and distances, measured spaces and memories. What might appear disconnected at first glance, she approaches as part of a larger network. The coffee cup is linked to the apple she ate, the left to the right glove, and also to the hat. Left is connected to right, and front to back, everything runs alongside, around, underneath, and through one another.
